Charity Kali Day - a huge thanks!!!

Ladies and gents,

Just a quick post to say a huge thank you to all of you who gave up your Sunday afternoon to support yesterdays event and the great cause that is 'Help for Heroes'. All in we raised £180.67 (most of which was loose change) - well done everyone!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all of the fighters for turning out, those that promised from the start and those that literally walked in today and 'fancied a go'. Without you lot the day would not have gone ahead and been such the success it was. The guy's (and girls) from Cambridge Free Fight, Andy Nugent's Academy in Letchworth, members from the Tokon Academy itself, Rob Crane English Martial Arts and of course to Mike and Kris Dunnage who provided the projector, backdrops, weapons and expertise for today's refereeing (all whilst travelling from Hackney, East London).

To that guys from ATR Bassigbourn another thank you for your committed to the cause - it was shame we couldn't have had your rower station inside the building along with the main event but I hope you too raised a lot of money and are well on your way of reaching the target set out in you own event. Finally, a big thanks to Deana and Steve Costin for filming/photographing todays action. I will post a page dedicated to the days activties ASAP on the Tokon Academy Website.

We will be holding another charity type event later on in 2009 but until then may I remind you of the next chance to witness/compete in Full-contact Stick fightiing is the Call 2 Arms event scheduled for Sunday 5th April 2009 at Lea Manor Leisure Centre in Luton between 1pm & 3pm. Check out http://www.call2arms.tv for more information.

Thank you once again,
David Webb
